Quick-Moving Gusty Storms Cause Numerous Power Outages In Fairfield County

A quick-moving line of thunderstorms with strong gusty winds moving from west to east has resulted in numerous power outages in Connecticut.

As of around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, Eversource is reporting 1,738 customers without power throughout the state.

The most affected communities are South Windsor in Hartford County (400 customers without power), Wilton in Fairfield County (288), Norwalk in Fairfield County (134), and Harwinton in Litchfield County (130).

United Illuminating is reporting just five customers without power, with three in Shelton.

Storm radar shows most of the severe storms have moved east, but a Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect for all of Connecticut until 7 p.m. Saturday.
